Letter from Georgia We received this letter about
traveling animal acts from Carol in Georgia; our response is below: What can be done to force circus' to close down? Can't we make a law, to make it illegal to train/abuse wild animals for
financial gain? I'm so disheartened, what can be done? Who do we write? Well never mind, I just found the link. Sincerely, Carol ######### Hi Carol, I know this issue is disheartening (as most animal-protection issues
are). However, change is possible and change is happening; it's slow
going...but I always tell people to just 'do the work,' and remember we are
in it for the long haul. Have you joined any groups in your area? Let me know if you have trouble
finding them. Try to work with your local politicians, and be persistent.
Ideally it would be great to get laws that make abusing wild animals
illegal; in the interim, you can get these people banned from your town.
Write letters to the newspapers, leaflet, ...Peta donates billboard
posters, maybe you could get one put up in your area. Thank you for wanting to help the animals and please don't give up - you
are the only hope they have. Feel free to contact us at any time. All best luck, ANIMAL DEFENDERS OF WESTCHESTER
