Dr.
Murry Cohen

Jamie Scott has been denied the opportunity to graduate and get her Veterinary doctorate/license because she refused to harm animals in their current training programs. She chose this university because she had been assured no harm to animals would be required. Please politely urge Elaine Watson and Joan Bates to reinstate Jamie and provide her with her degree.
Jamie has persisted for almost 10 years and will continue to do so, she is a woman of character and true to her ethical beliefs. The veterinary profession needs more young people like Jamie.
Sign an online petition - Reinstate Jamie Scott without prejudice so that she can complete her DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree - that already has over 5,000 signatures

The universities can come out of this looking good and forward rather than backward looking. They would look cruel, old-fashioned and reactionary were they to continue their stubborn adherence to old and inhumane ways of teaching veterinary students. Were they to allow Jamie to get her degree, they would have everything to gain and nothing to lose. They would become leaders in their field, admired by the idealistic young.
Thank you for everything you do for animals!
