Beagle Freedom Project
March 2017
The “Animal Welfare Accountability and Transparency Act” S 503 has just been introduced in response to the USDA removing its online database and hiding violations of the Animal Welfare Act.
Beagle Freedom Project, in concert with other animal welfare advocates, has already filed suit against the USDA, and we are heartened by this additional Congressional response. Whether through litigation or legislation, we will prevail!

Senators Wyden and Menendez along with Reps. Earl Blumenauer, Susan
Davis, and Don Beyer have filed bills which would require USDA to repost
this information on its website and increase accountability for those who
treat animals inhumanely.
Just as the public can use the internet to look at the sex offender
registry, and learn about the crimes against children those people
committed, we need to be able to look at the USDA animal abuser registry and
learn about the crimes that laboratories have committed.
Thank you for everything you do for animals!
