We don’t have all the details — because SUNY refuses to disclose the
information — but what we do know sounds like torture. The cats’ heads are
mounted in frames, and their eyes are forced open with contact lenses. While
alive, their skulls are removed and electrodes are inserted into their
brains.
These kittens are only 4 to 12 months old, and are forced to endure
traumatic, agonizing treatment. They deserve more than a short life full of
pain. These kittens need our help NOW! And the first step is getting SUNY to
cough up the records pertaining to their experiments.

This can’t wait. These cats are in desperate need of help. Please sign our petition now and make your voice heard.
On June 21, 2018, we filed a lawsuit on behalf of Citizens for Alternatives to Animal Research & Experimentation (CAARE) against the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry — demanding that they disclose the public records regarding their invasive experiments on cats and kittens. Prior to our involvement, SUNY had already refused to release the records after receiving a request from CAARE under the New York Freedom of Information Law.
