At one time or another you can find Herring Gulls in just about any part
of North America, but as a breeding species they tend to be found in more
northern regions, or at higher elevations in the west. They are
also found across Eurasia. I painted the North American subspecies,
from sketches done at Presqu’ile Provincial Park, near Brighton, Ontario.
