One of our main focus is ABC (animal birth control) or spay/neuter/rabies vaccinations for street/community dogs and cats. From the training of animal handlers to learning the more humane way of catch and release (with a net); to the best practices of sterile operations; the veterinarians we support are helping thousands of street animals.

VSPCA has helped over 80,000 community/street dogs – each operation only
costs $15

VSPCA giving rabies vaccinations to the community. Without our help these
dogs and the public would be at risk for rabies. Each shot only costs $1.
Our groups are called day and night for countless rescue operations for many different types of animals – all saved from a cruel fate and much suffering!
Help Animals India has funded vehicles for rescuing animals both large and small and picking up community dogs for animal birth control.
And now we have this:
HOPE and Animal ambulance (Ranchi) – a multipurpose vehicle for education and awareness activities, ABC (animal birth control) camps in rural areas, treatments and vaccinations. The posters to the sides of the logo show in Hindi and in pictures (for those who are illiterate) the proper way to relate to the street/community dogs – many people in India are afraid of them and don't know how to interact with them.
The Project at AASHRAY, Varanasi had no vehicle for large animals; we funded this converted school bus:

Before JBF (Just Be Friendly) only had this:
And now we have this:

Poor sweet Maria was just another of the run over street pups and she is
now able to live out her life at VSPCA sanctuary thanks to the wheelchair
our donors sent over for her.

Help Animals India is very concerned about the environment and its
effects on the animals. Here is the Plastic Cow project at VSPCA photo
showing one of the many poor cows AFTER her operation with all the plastic
removed from her stomach next to her. She is one of the lucky ones who have
the operation if we have funding to give.

VSPCA conducts horse camps, without them the working horses of the city
would have no vet care whatsoever.
