Hedrick man wounded Thursday while hunting

HEDRICK -- The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is investigating
a hunting incident that wounded a Hedrick man Thursday afternoon, according
to a news release from DNR spokesman Kevin Baskins.
Derick Crow, 20, of Hedrick, was hunting with two others northeast
of Hedrick in Keokuk County when he was struck in the leg by a shotgun
slug. He was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics
in Iowa City.
The incident remains under investigation by the DNR and the Keokuk
County Sheriff's Department.
