JACKSON, Ohio -- A Chillicothe man remained hospitalized Tuesday
after he was shot in the head during Monday's opening day of
turkey-hunting season.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said Ross Cremeans Jr. was
setting up a decoy when another hunter took the decoy as a turkey and
shot him.
Cremeans, 37, was airlifted to The Ohio State University Medical
Center, NBC 4 reported.
The suspected shooter would not be identified until either charges
were filed or the department had wrapped up the investigation,
according to the Chillicothe Gazette.
