An unidentified 15-year-old Bradenville boy suffered ankle injuries
early Saturday after he apparently fell from a tree stand while
hunting in Derry Township, reported the Blairsville Volunteer Fire
Department.
The company responded to the incident at 6:59 a.m. near
Westinghouse Road.
Crews entered the wooded area with four-wheel drive vehicles to
help the ambulance crew remove the boy from the woods. The rescue
effort took one hour, according to a release issued by the fire
department.
Eastern Derry Township Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at
the scene.
