ELBOW LAKE, Minn. – A 48-year-old Evansville woman was accidentally
shot and killed while deer hunting in Pelican Lake Township, the Grant
County sheriff reported Sunday.
Authorities were notified about the shooting shortly after 10:30
a.m. Saturday. The name of the victim, who was pronounced dead at the
scene, was being withheld until relatives had been notified.
The victim was shot in the hip area by another hunter in the same
hunting party, Sheriff Dwight Walvatne said.
