Two people were shot in separate hunting incidents Friday
afternoon.
Taylor Carlisle, 20, was shot while deer hunting near Rock Quarry
Road and New Hope Road, according to the Wake County Sheriff's
Department. He was taken to WakeMed Raleigh Campus, where he was in
serious condition late Friday.
Separately, a 12-year-old girl was shot in a hunting-related
incident in a rural area outside Wake Forest. She underwent surgery at
WakeMed and was listed as stable late Friday, according to the
Sheriff's Department.
Detectives were investigating both incidents, but had not filed
charges.
