Hunting Accident Leaves One Person Dead

CHESTER CO., S.C. -- Deputies in Chester County, S.C., are
investigating a deadly hunting accident.
Authorities said a father and son were hunting in Sumter National
Forest at about 7 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators said either the father or son shot at what they thought
was a deer, but it turned out to be a person.
Deputies have not released the victim’s name, and spent the evening
interviewing the father and son.
Deputies said the incident is being investigated by the South
Carolina Department of Natural Resources.
