BROOKS COUNTY, Kansas, November 10, 2008 - A Tennessee man is dead
after a hunting accident near Stockton Saturday.
Sixty-three-year-old William Dudley Carter, of Adams TN, was hunting
quail Saturday around noon when he was accidentally shot in the head and
chest when a covey of quail took flight. He was transported the Rooks
County Health Center but later died.
An investigation was conducted by officers of the Kansas Wildlife and
Parks and the Rooks County Sheriff's Office.
