DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A Lenox teenager has been injured in a
hunting accident near his hometown in southwest Iowa.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says 15-year-old Ely Will
accidentally shot himself in the left leg on Sunday. Officials say he
was crossing a ditch when his .22-caliber rifle fired, hitting him in
the calf.
Department spokesman Kevin Baskins says the injury was not life
threatening.
Will was hunting with another teenager when the accident happened.
