WALKER, Minn. - A Sartell man was found dead Sunday morning while deer hunting in Beulah Township.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office says it appeared the 51-year-old man's gun fired a fatal shot after he fell from his deer stand.

The death remains under investigation.

It is unknown when the apparent accident happened. Authorities were sent to search the area after receiving a report of a missing hunter in the area.

The victim's name is being withheld in order to notify family members.

It is the third reported death from the weekend's deer hunting opener.

A 72-year-old hunter from St. Paul died when he fell from his deer stand in Beltrami County.
