A 17-year-old Bismarck youth died Saturday as a result of a
hunting accident near Regent.
Joshua Morrissette was a student at Century High School.
Administrators and counselors met with students on Monday.
Hettinger County Sheriff Sarah Warner said her office received a
call about 3 p.m. MST Saturday.
Warner said the accident happened northwest of Regent but
released few details, saying the accident is still under
investigation. She would not identify the victim.
Warner said the accident apparently happened during a pheasant
hunt. The youth was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in
Dickinson were he died from his injuries, she said.
A funeral is scheduled for Joshua Morrissette at 10:30 a.m.
Friday at First Evangelical Free Church.
