A hunter is shot on the opening day of dove season Saturday in
McPherson County.
According to the Kansas Department of
Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism, authorities are investigating a
hunting incident that occurred early Saturday morning in southern
McPherson County. A male hunter was injured, and transported to a
Wichita hospital.
Preliminary reports indicate that the male
hunter was shot in the face, and upper torso region, by another
member of his hunting party. The hunter's injuries were not believed
to be life threatening.
