Sterling man charged with illegally hunting coyotes from vehicle

Illinois State Police and the Illinois Department of Natural
Resources arrested a 51-year-old Sterling, Ill., man for illegally
hunting coyotes as he was sitting in his vehicle, the Illinois State
Police said. Myron Kramer had parked his vehicle in the area of
Habben Road and Hazel Road in Whiteside County and was hunting
coyotes from the vehicle, police said. Illinois State Police said
officers observed the man about 9:50 a.m. Friday. Kramer is charged
with hunting within 300 yards of a dwelling, having an uncased rifle
in vehicle, uncased shotgun in vehicle, hunting from the highway,
and hunting with use and aid of conveyance. His next appearance in
Whiteside County Circuit Court is scheduled for March10.
