MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A federal judge in Los Angeles has barred a man
from hunting after he pleaded guilty to illegally moving antlers from
Wisconsin deer across state lines.
Authorities say 34-year-old Joshua Whittaker of Corona, California,
along with a companion and a guide from Blue Rivers Outfitters shined
deer in Richland County in November 2004.
The guide shipped antlers taken from bucks Whittaker and his friend
shot during the outings back to Whittaker's California construction
business.
Federal wildlife officials say more than 50 people from around the
country have been convicted in connection with illegal hunts that Blue
River Outfitters set up.
