Two New Milford men were arrested by the state Department of
Environmental Protection police Wednesday and charged with illegally
shooting a deer in Washington last week.
Douglas Cable, 50, of Fordyce Road, and Matthew Larmore, 22, of
Bostwick Place, were arraigned in Superior Court in Bantam. Neither man
was able to post bond, and both remain in custody pending court

The men are accused of shooting a white-tailed deer in a residential
area on Upper Church Hill Road on Nov. 17, DEP spokesman Dennis Schain
said.
The men shot the deer, which was on private property, from the road.
A neighbor witnessed the incident and contacted DEP police, who obtained
warrants for their arrests, Schain said.
Both men were charged with third-degree negligent hunting, accessory
to negligent hunting, second-degree reckless endangerment, hunting from
a highway, accessory to hunting from a highway, illegal deer hunting,
and accessory to illegal deer hunting,
Cable was also charged with hunting under suspension and driving
under suspension. His bond was set at $35,000 and his case was continued
to Dec. 16.
Larmore's bond was set at $10,00, and he's due back in court Dec. 17.
