Moorhead police are investigating a report of deer hunting in city
limits during Minnesota's firearms deer opener.
Police got a report of a deer being shot in north Moorhead about 9:15
a.m.
Sunday. Witnesses standing on the Fargo, N.D., side of the Red River
say two hunters shot the deer with a rifle but fled the area
immediately.
Two men in their mid-20s returned to the scene about a half-hour
later in a newer dark-blue smaller SUV missing the driver's side front
hubcap. One man wore red and the other wore orange.
Anyone with information is asked to call Moorhead police.
