Over-fishing problems
Exploiting God’s creation as if there were no consequences is
something humanity hasn’t learnt so far. Some of us are wondering how
long it’s going to take humans to realize that we’ve dramatically
disrupted nature’s delicate balance; and therefore, walked away from
God’s ideal.
According to recent news, a prediction by critics of the fishing
industry seems to have turned into reality. Experts have warned that
over-fishing might lead to "junk species" like jellyfish, to overgrow
and fill up the vacancies as it is the case along the coast of Southern
Africa. This area used to have productive fisheries that died in the
last few years. English scientists say the place on the food chain long
occupied by these fish has now been filled by the largest jellyfish boom
ever measured.
