Egg industry agreed to drop misleading logo
Although this victory won’t alleviate animal suffering directly, it
will stop misleading consumers into believing that the eggs with the
"Animal Care Certified" logo were produced by hens that received a
higher quality of care. The egg industry has agreed to switch to the
"United Egg Producers Certified" logo and to pay $100,000 to states for
attorney fees, consumer education and other costs, after state officials
and animal rights groups put pressure on them.

Hopefully, consumers will become aware that the guidelines followed
by most of the egg producers in the US not only do not assure good care
of hens, but also do nothing to prevent the pain and suffering they are
subjected to. By adopting a plant based diet we can take a stand against
cruelty and choose a diet accord with the love that God has for all
His/Her creatures.
