Hosea 2:18
(RSV)“And I will make for you a covenant on that day with the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the creeping things of the ground; and I will abolish the bow, the sword, and war from the land; and I will make you lie down in safety.”
God reminds us that our Creator’s ideal is a world or peace and harmony among all creatures. Christians are called to be good stewards of all of God’s creation and to participate actively in its reconciliation. A plant-based diet helps us bring healing into this world and spread God’s compassion and love.
