Vegan Diet Slows Aging Process
A team U.S. researchers led by Prof. Dean Ornish of the Preventive
Medicine Institute in California have found the fountain of youth, which
apparently lies in following a lifestyle that includes exercise, and a
vegan diet. The study included 24 men with prostate cancer, who had to
exercise 30 minutes 6 days a week for starters, meditate or relax for an
hour every day and follow a well-balanced vegan diet. Researchers found
that this lifestyle was able to increase an enzyme known as telomerase,
which protects cells from the effects of aging.
