I am an omnivore, but I try not to eat meat too much, and I look at how the animals were raised. We love bacon and pork but I can hardly look at it or eat it anymore, knowing the conditions they have lived in to feed us.
What brands raise pork humanely?
We buy from the farmers who treat animals well, to send the message out that we will pay more and eat less if an animal is raised humanely. I did this with eggs and vegetables over the last 25 years and free range and organic farming has caught on, but the poor pigs and factory farms are a horror.
Please spread the word about which farmers are still raising animals humanely even if they are raised for consumption.
