Animals as Food

Dear Ashley:

Thank you for telling us about the farms and your personal experience.

These farms are the "ideal", and they are few and far between. We also haven't encountered any of them in the Northeast, and as we said in an earlier email, even the small farms have a lot of cruelty involved, though to a lesser degree that the factory farms.

Really, the only way to insure that animals are not exploited or mistreated is to become a vegan.
