Dear Kim:
Actually, if you asked these same questions of almost any other major denomination, we would expect you would get similar answers or non-answers. It’s the nature of the beasts. And the horrible thing about these church leaders is that they are more interested in preserving their own way of life than doing what if best for their congregations, and before God.
Since they are all well-educated, we can only assume that they really know the truth, and deliberately distort it.
They seem to be serving a different god than the God we serve.
This is why we work mostly with the general public and lay people.
