Animals as FoodDear Rick:
Thank you for writing back.
Let’s start with animals having souls and spirits. Please take a look at:

As we previously wrote, when God created the heavens and the earth, there was no sin or sacrifice, and in heaven there is no death or sin. This shows God’s heavenly intent or will, which Jesus taught us to pray for being on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). The raising and killing of animals only came about after the Fall, and as we are told Abraham brought the idea of sacrifice with him from Ur, which was before the references you refer to. God only seems to have reluctantly allowed it with restrictions that limited the number of animal sacrifices.
We are to bring God’s heavenly will to earth as it is in heaven. We are not to go along with the corrupt ways of this world with all its pain, suffering, and death; we are to separate ourselves from these corrupt ways and follow the teachings of Jesus.
We hope this helps. And, we’d be happy to call you to discuss this further if you send us your phone number, and a good time to call.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
