Christian Bowhunters of America
Is it really Christian?
Comment by Frank and Mary Hoffman - 1 Feb 2008

Dear Richard:

We hope you had a good night's rest.

We don't believe Job is a good example to apply to this situation as his was a very special case.

This circumstances surrounding the quail incident are most important to the understanding. God had given the people manna to eat (a complete vegan diet) and the people grumbled to such an extent that God gave them what they wanted, and not necessarily in the form of live birds, since they were piled up 3 feet deep. And what was the result, many of the people who craved the quail died. This was a one time incident. After this the people went back to eating manna, an were healthy.

Yes, we also have questioned the reason for the coin in the fish's mouth, and don't have any satisfactory answer.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
