As moderator, I've never removed anyone for sending a message that I found either not respectful or both off-topic and contentious. The only people I have removed are those who have sent spam. I don't approve every message, and some who persist in sending disrespectful or off-topic material generally eventually give up. About 95% of messages are approved, and about 80% of the non-approved messages would be approved if resubmitted with modifications.
