Mariquita Solis

Mariquita Solis is a dedicated Harmonic Earth Healer and certified Reiki practitioner, harnessing the potent energy of the Feminine for healing and empowerment. With her unique approach called "Earth Song Animal Sister Reiki," Mariquita combines her training as a Feminine Empowerment Coach with the powerful elements of nature and animal wisdom to offer gentle healing and support. Her work focuses on helping women overcome limiting beliefs and wounds that hinder their unlimited potential.

As a co-leader of the Earth Care Ministry at Unity North, Mariquita fosters stewardship of the environment and all of her inhabitants. She passionately leads the Animal Ministry, advocating for the well-being of all creatures and nurturing connections between humans and animals. Her commitment to holistic well-being extends to her volunteer work at Lucky's Wildlife Rehab, where she provides care and compassion to injured animals.

Certified in Plant-Based Nutrition from eCornell, Mariquita brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. She orchestrates immersive forest walks at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, infusing each hike with a transformative and spiritual essence. Together with her partner James Scott Britton, Mariquita facilitates sound journeys, combining James's musical virtuosity with her soothing meditations.

In her free time, Mariquita enjoys spending time with her rescue dog, little Louie, named after her beloved best friend. Her passion for encouraging healthy eating stems from personal experience, as she advocates for a plant-based diet. With a BFA in photo design from the University of Georgia, Mariquita's background includes social work with children and adults with developmental and behavioral issues. She has always been an avid volunteer and used to foster puppies for animal rescues.

Mariquita enjoys chilling out to music, particularly the Dave Matthews Band, and her affinity for 70’s disco. Overcoming her fear of snakes while volunteering at the nature center, she now embraces her passion for these creatures. Proudly embracing the labels of hippie, tree hugger, and pollyanna, Mariquita is an optimist who tackles challenges with a smile and a laugh, accompanied by little Louie by her side.
