Sir - I was disappointed, but not surprised that it is an Anglican
Bishop - the Bishop of Salisbury - who is making a stand and questioning
the morality of factory farming methods, and the way we treat animals
generally in this age of so called progress. I've waited in vain to hear any priest in our Church showing the
slightest interest in the way mankind treats his fellow inhabitants of
this planet. If we believe we, as human beings, are a superior race, so much more
intelligent than the "brute creation" surely it's about time we also
took on an attitude of responsibility towards them? (Mrs) Jennifer E. Archington The Universe Also see: Bishop speaks out against animal cruelty Return to Letters |
