Cats have right to life

I refer to Ronald Singleton's report from Rome concerning the Vatican cats (December 19).

He names several high-ranking dignitaries who will seemingly be responsible for the death of a large number of God's creatures.

I write to ask, how men such as these, whose lives should mirror as nearly as humanly possible, that of Jesus, could lend themselves to such inhumanity.

Since reading the article I have racked my brains seeking some justification. I have been unable to find any.
