Dear Editor,

I was very pleased to read the letter in your paper sent by a group of young people headed "A Divided Kingdom." In fact, I belong to a prayer group who have been praying about all these issues for some time.

It does grieve me, however, that so often no mention is made, when listing the evils in our country, of the appalling suffering inflicted on the animal creation through the exploitation of man through vivisection, so-called sport, slaughter, captivity, amusement, etc

Whilst upholding your correspondents in their fight against the evils mentioned, I think our Lord would say, "This ought ye to have done, and not to have left the other undone".
