Animals' Day (1970)

Christian love must he shown not only to our fellow men but to all God's creation. This truth, so often ignored, is of special point during this Conservation Year.

We therefore ask all Christians to observe World Day for Animals (St Francis' Day, October 4) with special fervour this year and all clergy to remember the animals in their prayers and sermons on this day.
