Dear Representative Gillibrand:

We have heard that the Director of the NIH, Dr. Elias Zerhouni, intends to correct the NIH peer review system. Since 1992, Eliot Spindel has received $7.6 million dollars from the NIH for wasteful, cruel, and unnecessary nicotine experimentation that is very disturbing. Unless it is ended now, this waste of taxpayers� money is scheduled to continue through 2012.

Please contact Dr. Zerhouni and ask him to reevaluate his agency�s funding of nicotine research.
