An all-creatures.org Guide to Kingdom Living. True Christian living requires us to live according to Kingdom standards which bring Heaven to earth

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

God's word is a powerful force that changes things on earth.   The Bible instructs us on how to affect the world by what we say.  The word of God is life giving; full of faith and hope.  Our words produce results whether good or bad.

God's word cuts quick, bringing the conviction of truth. It is accurate and intense and brings to light the things we need to see in our own hearts.  As Katie Souza says, our spirits were saved when we accepted Jesus, but our soul needs to heal and grow.

They are separate and yet a unit that together fulfills the plans of God.  When our spirit man is strong we are led by the Holy Spirit and speak faith filled words, but when our soul man leads, we speak from a place of emotions influenced by our thoughts.

One of the enemy's strategies to silence us is to fill our minds with negative thoughts.  That is why we need to be disciplined………….

2 Corinthians 10:5 New King James Version

5. casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Every word we speak either will come against the kingdom of darkness or agree with it.  We need to feast on the word of God in order to have healthy minds.

When our thoughts are cluttered with things of the world or the things of Satan, we are filled with doubt and hopelessness which brings death and destruction. The enemy uses many tactics to keep us from moving powerfully with the word of God as our weapon, If he can get us focused on our earthly life and consume us with the cares and worries of this world then he can also get us to utter words of defeat. Negative words are power draining and eventually sabotage those who feed on them.  Our words have a lot to do with our thoughts and if we are thinking self-defeating thoughts, we will speak self-defeating words.

It is important to feast on the word of God by meditating on it daily.

The presence and power of Jesus is manifested in the word of God and it is our right to use them in the authority given to us from above.   Prayer warriors who have victory just by speaking God's word understand this principle.

Many Christians do not pray the word of God because they don't know it well enough.   The reason for this lack of knowledge is because there is no love for God's word.

Speaking God's word ushers the will of God into the world.

The more we intimately know God's word, the more we have the mind of Christ. We are then better able to speak God’s truth into every situation.  God wants and expects us to use His word to bring the kingdom of God on the earth.

Challenge:  Meditate and take in God’s word.  Practice using God’s word in your every day life.

God Bless

lamb-rightThe purpose of this series is to encourage people to live as loving, compassionate, and peacemaking children of God: Jesus tells us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) God tells us through Micah (6:8), "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God." And we know from Revelation 21:4 that there will be no more mourning, or crying, or pain, or death. Thus, Christian living requires us to set the standards of these conditions here on earth for our fellow human beings, and for the other animals, as a witness to the rest of the world. To do otherwise is not Christian.
