Matthew 6:33 Complete Jewish Bible
But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
More than anything else I want my spirit to soar in the presence of the Lord. I want to fly unhindered in the freedom of His acceptance.
This can only happen if I am willing to surrender myself with all abandon.
God calls us to position ourselves so that we can readily receive the fullness of His love. We position ourselves by seeking after Him with a whole heart; plunging into the deep waters of holiness. Seeking God without measure unleashes us into the blessings that naturally flow from His presence.
When we seek God our desire for Him grows and we become more dependent on who He is not what He gives. We become nourished by His love and realize He alone is our sustenance. The more we know God, the more we see how infinite He is and that His ways are right and important to live by for our well-being. Those in the Bible and those who studied the Bible have spent much time seeking God and acquiring a rich relationship with Him. Our relationship with God goes as deep and as close as we allow it. God gives the invitation for intimacy and waits for us to pursue relationship with Him.
James 4:8 New King James Version
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
God does not keep anything good from us. As it has been said, He gave His one and only Son to die for us; that is the ultimate gift. So why would He keep anything from us that would obviously be less valuable?
When we walk after God we are putting ourselves in His path of blessing. The curtain that leads to the holy of holies is opened wide. When we choose to seek after Him we move through the curtains into the Holy of holies and are translated into His kingdom of limitless access to everything He has.
Ephesians 1:3 New King James Version
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
Spending time with God and drawing close to Him is to our benefit. We need Him: He wants us.
The greatest privilege we can have is when we are given the right to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and yet He still promises that as we embrace Him, He opens the doors of provision and fulfilled dreams.
Challenge: Spend time in the word; spend time on your knees worshipping and praying and spend time in the Lord’s presence in silence. Listen for His voice.
God bless,
Marni

The purpose of this series is to encourage people to live as loving, compassionate, and peacemaking children of God: Jesus tells us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) God tells us through Micah (6:8), "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God." And we know from Revelation 21:4 that there will be no more mourning, or crying, or pain, or death. Thus, Christian living requires us to set the standards of these conditions here on earth for our fellow human beings, and for the other animals, as a witness to the rest of the world. To do otherwise is not Christian.
