Psalm 139:14 New King James Version

14. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well

The Psalmist was very aware of God’s love for him. He lived his purpose and understood his value through the eyes of God.

Just like David, we were each woven individually as beings created unique one from another.   God is like no other; He is the original of Himself and He creates in the same way; therefore we are designed to have that same originality in our own makeup.  Every single one of us were born into this world, wanted and accepted by God. He had a scheduled appointment for our arrival and for our departure from the earth.  We were given distinctive personalities and gifts that were to be used for His glory. And even when someone else has what appears to be the same gift, because of our individuality, the gift does not operate exactly the same because we will present it differently

God designed us to be different from one another.

Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)

10. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

We are magnificent creatures; a masterpiece He created for His pleasure.  Our value in the Lord is beyond measure. When we have the understanding of God’s truth about us, we are better able to stand like a beacon of light in this world, confident that God approves of us.  Look at this psalmist’s words. “I am fearfully and wonderfully made”. In other words, David sees himself as God intended him to see himself….as awesome. David saw Himself through the eyes of His creator, knowing that God creates with perfection and love. So if God creates only what is good and fearfully and wonderfully made, than that means you also are awesome.

Challenge   Hold up the only mirror that reflects back what God sees.  In the Bible is where we find this truth.

God bless,

Marni

lamb-rightThe purpose of this series is to encourage people to live as loving, compassionate, and peacemaking children of God: Jesus tells us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) God tells us through Micah (6:8), "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God." And we know from Revelation 21:4 that there will be no more mourning, or crying, or pain, or death. Thus, Christian living requires us to set the standards of these conditions here on earth for our fellow human beings, and for the other animals, as a witness to the rest of the world. To do otherwise is not Christian.
