In the United States alone, approximately one million animals are killed every day by motor vehicles. U.S. Dep’t of Transp., Wildlife-Vehicle Collision Reduction Study: Report to Congress 23 (2008) (In 2008, Congress estimated that one million vertebrates are killed daily by cars in the U.S. and admitted the number could be closer two million and increasing.). As stewards of the Earth, it’s our responsibility to look out for each other and do what we can to avoid causing any pain, suffering, or death to another living being. By following these easy steps, you can make a huge—truly life or death—difference for animals.
