The Fungus Among Us - Tricholoma tigrinum

(Tricholoma tigrinum - 1)   The Tricholoma tigrinum, which the literature says is the same as the Tricholoma pardinum, is poisonous.  It is similar in appearance to the Tricholoma terreum, or Grey Agaric, an edible mushroom which is smaller, darker, and is covered in small scales.   Because of this similarity, we suggest that unless you are an expert, you avoid eating these species.
