(Crabtree Falls - George Washington National Forest - 3 Nov 2005 - 024) On the way up the mountain, we turned on to the first of several switchbacks.  We noted that the people who constructed and maintain the paths and railings have to carry all of their material up the trail, which is quite a feat in itself.
