A New Day...
The Sun is rising
and the problems of the earth
seem pretty small!
A day is dawning -
clouds of salmon-pink,
extensive, wall the sky -
a shepherd's warning!
. . Come, gliding seagulls,
wing your messages of hope
across the sleepy land;
weave a gentle web of caring
out beyond the sea.
Then, when all mankind's encompassed
in a sea of sharing,
Unity will be so simple,
Peace will be at hand!
Teach the lesson gently,
re-direct our flimsy way;
servants of that Other
Shepherd of another day!
