There was an Elephant in the room.
It could not understand
the opinions of Men
nor the myopic goals
of their contrary plans.
There was an Elephant in the room.
It could not see
the visions of Men
nor their imagined ideals
through their singular lens.
There was an Elephant in the room.
It could not feel
the motivations of Men
nor their enlivened greed
for their salable ends.
There was an Elephant in the room.
It could not understand
the opinions of Men
nor the myopic goals
of their contrary plans.
