Instead to See the Truth Profound
By Mango Wodzak

As far as eating is concerned,
humankind has surely earned,
the title of "the most unlearned",
One might think our brain's sunburned,
the way we have our planet spurned.

The countless beings who we destroy,
to protect the others we enjoy,
fattening up with grains and soy,
to kill and eat with steamed bok choy,

Instead to see the truth profound,
propaganda's lies abound,
exploitation's seen as sound!
Make our bodies burial ground!

While in the process we've defaced
the environment which lays debased,
Forests gone! with greed and haste,
to feed these animals we've embraced,
as food to eat with sides of paste.

We focus more on feeding these,
for fleshy meat and dairy cheese,
than all the starving overseas

Instead to see the truth profound,
propaganda's lies abound,
exploitation's seen as sound!
Make our bodies burial ground!

The greatest irony of it all,
free to see by one and all,
is after we have had the gall,
to chop and chew the flesh we maul,
may cause us sickly to befall,
and necessitate a doctor's call.

Then countless animals sacrificed,
for science they are sliced and diced,
to find cures for diseases,
caused by eating meats and cheeses.

Instead to see the truth profound,
propaganda's lies abound,
exploitation's seen as sound!
Make our bodies burial ground!
