Animal Rights Poetry By Julie Dickinson From All-Creatures.org

Poems of compassion dedicated to the non-human animals who share this planet with us and the people who fight for them.

Origin
By Julie Dickinson

Birthed in deep brown earth.
I share this air with you.
Creatures, we are.

Born of star dust.
Of blood and bone.
Animals, we are.

Gazing at moonlight.
Heart beat thrum.
Wanderers, we are.

Nuzzling kin, in warmth
At midnight.
Sentients, we are.

Protected by herd.
Enfolded wings.
Arms that hold.
Souls, we are.

Origin,
Of animal and human.
Shared connection.
One, we are.
