Animal Rights, Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
Though yesterday we walked in shirtsleeves
into the greening fields
amidst the flowering trees
listening to the bright songs
of returning summer birds,
Today we wake to a skim of ice on our pond
and a dusting of pure white snow ―
nothing dramatic or traumatic,
just Mother Nature’s gentle reminder
that nothing can be taken for granted,
that renewal is a work in progress,
that the only constant
is change.
