If You Are Broken

If you are broken
In body and soul,
The Father wants
To make you whole.
As "Mender of hearts,"
God clearly sees
The broken places
In you and me.
He knows each hurt
(The wound, the pain),
And wants to put you
Together again.
He'll gather the pieces
Of fragments that be
And gently restore
And set you free.
