It's The Simple Things

Bluegums waving and creaking;
Plum tree, shaking and shivering
in the wind.
Willows wandering crookedly
along the creek - in the wings.
These are the things
to treasure,
for in them, ETERNITY sings....
 
Ah, dear Mother Goat,  so sad
at the passing
of your new little kid..
maternity's warm instincts to nurture
and protect,
deflected;  postponed....
 
And you don't want to be hurt, again.
 
Coming out of your hard,
protective shell,
little by lonely little.
Goat-like;  human-like;
advance....retreat....
advance, gaining an inch
of relaxation
with every tiny surrender..

Go on to Jesus. Perfect One
